The thought of 25 burpees is killing me never mind five rounds AND with pull ups. My ironing is really piled high.

Here is an excellent piece on full ROM (range of motion) and perhaps a bit of a wake up call to some of our members!

Totally agreeable and would be someone who doesnt get the full range cos I aint concentrating I aint good at concentrating (Jonny shut up). But I will say I used to worry about times etc (not that I came first or anything LOL!!) because of the competitiveness i felt of Crossfit. But all in all I am there for me, I am competing against myself, I came to Crossfit to get fit and I hope I am well on my way to getting there. Plus the fact ‘The Academy’ is great craic too! Now back to work.

Hi Ant,
We have just become the official for Vibrams in Northern Ireland and the republic. We will have a full range of stock in the gym by the end of next week if your interested in seeing the different types……

Anto bring an extra suitcase with you and get me a pair please, I’m a size 4 (oh and only have 4 toes on one foot, so maybe you wud get them in TKMAX).
23.11 band pull ups. Tried a different technique with the burpees and I think it worked. Was resigned to the fact that I wudnt get it done in under 30 mins. Hit or miss with me.

Goodness me..I missed the debate that was inevitably going to raise its head. In my absence from posting yesterday I will submit the following belated offering. Firstly Sean.I have never met you but have raised the eyebrow occasionally when you post. You sound like a fit dude..kind of an allrounder and a potentially great Crossfitter however it can be somewhat aggravating when an invisible man posts a time he may have done in his own backyard or local gym. To train in this gym is a totally different experience. I thought to myself I would follow the WODs and maybe get upto Lurgan 2 times in the week if that and follow the WODs using my own faclities. But I find under the Crossfit conditions, really strict conditions it has benefitted me way more. I imagine thats why you have been invited to train so many times no matter what you are in preparation for. From meeting the Smuts I believe Jonny and Helen are about inclusion..getting a guy who is mad about training and has lots of potential and starting to help you to reach/exceed that potential. In an first class facilities by the way..training amongst your peers and busting out the WOD’s the best you can and more often than not getting your ass handed to you(in a good way) I wish you luck in your event that you have been preparing for but I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that you would have benefitted from coming down and exceeded the results you have made yourself. I encourage you not to take the hump, come down as much as you can and fully commit to the Crossfit ideals..or don’t. Here endeth the lecture.
